Together is an app for long-distance couples that keeps the two of you close across any distance. See your partner's local time, count down to your next reunion, add Home and Lock Screen widgets, and share moods, a status, notes, photos and doodles in a private space that's just for the two of you — right down to the profile pictures, which you pick for each other. It's made by a long-distance couple, for iPhone and iPad.
Your partner does — and you choose theirs. Neither of you can set your own. It's meant to make the picture something you give each other rather than something you each curate alone. When your partner picks a new one, you'll be shown it and can keep it or remove it; doing nothing keeps it. You can remove the picture on your own profile at any time from Settings → Photos, without their agreement, and they aren't notified. Pictures come from your photo library, and you crop them before they're sent.
To report a profile picture, open it — press and hold your own photo on the Home screen and choose See the photo they chose, or go to Settings → Photos → See it up close — then choose Report this photo from the ⋯ menu. For anything else, email hello@try-together.app and we'll treat it the same way. Reports go to our team and the person you report isn't told who reported them. You don't need to report a picture of yourself just to get rid of it — you can remove that yourself immediately from Settings → Photos.
Yes, that's exactly who it's built for. Rather than another general chat app, Together focuses on what matters when you're apart: your partner's time of day, a countdown to your next visit, Home and Lock Screen widgets, and a shared space for moods, notes and doodles. Distance sharing is end-to-end encrypted, so only your partner can ever see your location.
Yes. Together is free to download and use on iPhone and iPad. An optional subscription, Together Plus, unlocks extra features, and a single subscription covers both partners in a connection. It's billed by Apple, and you can cancel any time in iOS Settings → Subscriptions.
Together is an iOS app for iPhone and iPad. You sign in with Apple, connect with your partner, and your shared moments stay in sync across both of your devices.
Yes, it's built for it. Together shows your partner's current local time and the hours between you at a glance, and your reunion countdown and widgets update wherever you each are, so you always know whether to send a good-morning or a goodnight.
Open Together, sign in with Apple, and send your partner an invite to form your connection. Once you're linked, your moments, moods, status, and more are shared just between the two of you.
Subscriptions are handled by Apple. Open your Apple ID Account Settings → Subscriptions to change or cancel any time. One Together Plus subscription covers both partners in your connection.
Without Together Plus, moments are shown at full quality for their first 30 days. After that they're shown at a reduced resolution, and the full-resolution original is deleted after 37 days. The moment stays in your history either way — only the original file goes. During that one-week window between day 30 and day 37 the original is still there, so subscribing to Plus brings the photo back to full quality. After it's been deleted we can't restore it, and neither can subscribing. Plus keeps the originals of every moment for as long as your subscription is active, and if it ever lapses we give you at least 7 days' notice before anything is deleted.
Yes. When you turn on Distance, your location is end-to-end encrypted on your device before it leaves it. Only your partner's device can read it, we can't. You can turn it off any time.
Open the app and go to Settings → Account → Delete account (or email us at hello@try-together.app). Deleting ends your connection, your partner keeps their own account, and your shared content (moments, doodles, notes, dedications, and events) is archived for up to 30 days so it can be recovered, then permanently deleted. Heads up: this doesn't cancel Together Plus, manage that in iOS Settings → Subscriptions since it's billed by Apple.
We'd love to hear it. The quickest way is the in-app feedback form in Settings → Help & feedback, which sends us the details we need to help. You can also email ideas to feedback@try-together.app and bugs to bugs@try-together.app.
We’re a two-person team in different time zones, so a reply might take a day or two. But a real human (one of us) reads every single one.
